Business Declares was an official partner of the Restore Nature Now march in London on the 22nd June 2024.
This event was led by Chris Packham and was non-political, peaceful, legal and family-friendly, with over 200 partner organisations including the RSPB, National Trust and WWF, and included activities for families and children.
Aims
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the plight of nature and biodiversity in the UK, promising to be the biggest show of support for the natural world the UK has ever seen, with a gathering at Park Lane and a march to Parliament Square where there were speeches from a number of notable figures.
The culmination of the march saw a central ‘rally’ in Parliament Square at around 2.30pm, which saw well-known names and faces speaking to marchers about the political and policy changes we need to see to finally turn the tide for the environment and Restore Nature Now.
Business Declares brought together businesses/employees who stood with us and joined the event, as a visible demonstration that it's not just environmental organisations that care about nature - businesses actually care too. Together, with thousands of other people, called on the next UK Government at the time, to transform the UK from a nation of nature loss to a nation of nature leaders. The Business Declares group were dressed in business attire on the day, as an outward sign that the business world cares about nature.
Our amplification toolkit was also used to spread the word in businesses, teams and networks, showing how businesses could engage their employees, teams and networks to join and support the march, as a member of the business world standing with Business Declares.
The Restore Nature Now March followed this route in Central London, and had a variety of events in their programme for the day.

Restore Nature Now
The Restore Nature Now march was in the FT on 13th June, growing further awareness of the plight of nature and biodiversity in the UK, and for businesses and employees to stand with us to show that it’s not just environmental organisations that care about nature - businesses actually care too.
We asked businesses and employees, to call on whoever the next UK Government is, to transform the UK from a nation of nature loss to a nation of nature leaders.
