Business Declares: What a sustainable business looks like

Here in this article from Smiley News by Blyth Brentnall, one of our Directors, Ben Tolhurst, takes us through the steps that Business Declares believe a business should take to become sustainable, according to climate science and business expertise.

An overview of the steps to take:

• Raise awareness of the Climate & Ecological Emergency within a business.

• Take action, starting with easy changes, e.g. switching to renewable energy, then tackling the bigger, more difficult challenges, e.g. switching to ethical, sustainable company pensions, current accounts and savings.

• Influence government and participate in campaigns which aim to change legislation to better address the climate, ecological and social emergency.
